Peter Lewis Allen (born 1957) is a scholar, author, educator, and executive. He earned a B.A. in classics and English from Haverford College, a Ph.D. in comparative literature from the University of Chicago and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School. Allen has taught literature at Princeton University, USC, and Pomona College. His major research concerns include culture, history, and sexuality. Allen continues to enhance the scholarship concerning AIDS and the LGBT community. Among Allen’s publications is the book, ''The Wages of Sin: Sex and Disease, Past and Present''. In 2007, Allen donated his collection of safe sex pamphlets to the Fales Library at NYU. This collection contains material relating to sexual health issues from 1974-2007. Peter Allen moved from academia into the business world when he graduated from Wharton in 2000. He worked at McKinsey & Company in New York from 2000 to 2007, when he moved to San Francisco to become the Director of Google University (Google, Inc.). In 2010, Allen moved to Singapore.
